Monday Post 11/2

Happy belated Halloween to everyone. Had an outstanding weekend full of candy, friends, and family. Left Friday after class and took the 4 hour drive home to my Ma's house, ate and visited with my Ma and then went to see my girlfriend and her family. We made final preparations to our costumes and watched scary movies all night. Saturday we woke up and ate a big breakfast and began helping the little ones get their costumes on so they could walk in the Halloween parade. Later on that evening we went trick-or-treating and I got lots of candy that I brought back to chow on in my room. Great weekend.

Friday Post 10/30

Today was probably the most fun class I think that we have had this far. I enjoyed today's class because even though I only read half of the one story out of the three I still felt like I was able to add valuable information and argue my point. I think that today felt less like I had just a bunch of "busy work"to do.I feel like I actually learned some new things and I am in a much better place to start my analysis on these stories. Also, I want to add that it didn't feel like the class lasted forever like it usually does.

Monday Post 10/26

Had a good weekend with my ma, she came up here with my sister to hang out with me. I definitely like living on my own much more than living at home. Sure its stressful and unorganized at times, but I just love being 100% independent and able to make my own decisions.  I am excited for Halloween, I haven't figured out exactly what I am going to be but I always come up with something good so I have to impress.  I was thinking maybe like a Pirates Of the Caribbean: Captain Jack Sparrow haha.

Friday Post 10/23

Well, class was canceled today. Having no class was both a good and bad thing for me. It was good because today I had my first round of main-stage auditions for the spring semester and I was much more focused on them than class. There was a lot of pressure because even though the shows I auditioned for didn't really tailor to me, I still needed to show what I can do to the directors. This is important because as an actor you want to make an impression that makes a director want to work with you in the future. However, having no class sucked because now I have more homework and I wont be as fresh with the material.

Monday Post 10/19

Well, Ameriville closed this past weekend and I think that as my first main stage production I could not have picked a better show to be a part of. I had such a great time hanging out and getting to know the cast and the creators of the original show. What an amazing and definitely interesting experience! Got my first taste at what it is like to be behind the scenes during a show and I must say that I much rather be on stage performing than back behind the scenes holding everything together. Over all, a great way to start my theatre career.

Friday Post 10/16

Good day in class I thought that it was the first class I was engaged almost the entire time. I did find the exercise about the break down of song lyrics and the meaning behind them very interesting. I think a lot of things in our modern pop culture are said and subconsciously are not even noticed as what they are in the literal sense which is pretty fascinating if you really thing about it. I am not too excited to be writing a whole new paper already but I guess I have no other choice. See you all Friday!

Monday Post 10/12

What a weekend, had some pretty good times with my friends on Friday night. Then, began tailgating at 6:30 had a blast and went to the game. I have never been so hype about a football game in my life, even when I played football in high school I never got that hype about a game. It must have been awesome to be down there on that field on Saturday. Well now just wrapping up some homework and trying to fix my computer, I got it back and running but it wont connect to wifi now, anyway see y'all on Friday.

Friday Post 10/9

Hope class was good today, I have chronic migraines and of course I got one last night and could not sleep, so I decided that I would be less productive and cheerful in class than if I stayed in bed and took more meds. Hopefully I will be able to get out of bed in time for our first show of Ameriville for the kids in FYE tonight, hope a lot of people come out this weekend. Other than that, I am nervous to write this full story but I think that I have a pretty good grasp of the assignment, I definitely like writing about fictional things more than I like writing about myself.

Monday Post 10/5

The stress of college is beginning to get to me. not only have I been busy with all the work from my classes, but I have had tech week for Ameriville all week and I don't get out of rehearsals until 10:30-11:00 at night which leaves little time to do my homework etc. Also, my computer now has a virus and I have to now buy new software, beware to all of the people using the garbage protection plans through the school. Hoping that this weekend will be so exciting and fun-filled that I will be able to get through this week.

10/2 Friday Post

Today's class has been good so far, I think that it is funny how raunchy and dirty some of the dialogues were. I'm not excited to write about myself in a personal narrative, I'm more comfortable writing about someone else and using my life experiences to shape that character. I enjoyed reading my group's stories and all of their ideas and in doing so, I was able to expand my own writing and I feel like I'm in better shape to begin writing my personal narrative. Not sure how I'm going to write a paper over the weekend, but I guess I have no other choice. Until Monday. RTB

9/28 Monday Post

Well, another week of college started today and my returning train to come back to Kalamazoo was thirty minutes behind schedule which put my arrival thirty minutes late. As you can tell it was a great morning walking into my class as everyone was leaving. Hoping this week is better; have not had the best past two weeks and I'm hoping for a turn around some time soon. Finally figured out how Eli Review works although I tried to do the peer editing assignment and it said no one had submitted any assignments yet which I know can not be true. 9/25 Friday Post

Friday I missed class. Unfortunately I had to come home for personal reasons and my weekend has been eventful, but not a complete mess. After reviewing the class blog it looks like I missed some work, but nothing that I can't make up. I am having some writer's block in writing the first draft of my paper. I often have this problem because I am a perfectionist and if the topic and content are not perfect, then I cant write passionately and with purpose. I do wonder what the importance was of the three readings we had. Well, that is all folks.

Whats Crackin? Well, happy Monday everyone. Fell asleep in my 9:00am class this morning so that was cool. Just now remembered that we have to write a paper for this class and that it is due today; in case anyone is actually reading my blog and you forgot, you're welcome. Not entirely sure of what I'm actually supposed to write, I forgot if it was supposed to be a free write or an actual essay. Well, going to go do that now. Have a good week and see y'all on Friday.

Hey Everyone! My name is Christopher Kehrer and I am a freshman here at Western. I am majoring in Theatre Performance: Acting and I am stoked to begin my first year here at WMU. I am from Vail, Colorado originally and I moved here when I was younger.
